Thread regarding Rockwell Automation Inc. layoffs

Layoffs in October 2024

Any rumors of layoffs in October 2024?

I would not be surprised if they completely eliminate one level of mid manager ranks…

For the person saying Alix is saving RA, you are misinformed or work for Alix.
Regarding Devens, manufacturing operations is shutting down, but only manufacturing roles are affected. Non-manufacturing roles (Engineering) are being relocated to the Chelmsford facility 20 miles away.

I was always told they stop any layoffs by fiscal year start so I’m dubious of this so called RIF still happening and highly doubtful about us closing Devens, I work in sourcing and Alix partners are basically saving Rockwell from itself and only running productivity projects to help, Devens news isn’t ANYWHERE on Epoch!

I’m one of the so called paper pushers in Mayfield heights we just shut down Devens Massachusetts plant yesterday Oct 3rd, I’m processing all their shop floor peoples paperwork to have work go to Mexico. Rockwell hired a group of locusts called Alix Partners, look them up, closing plants, layoffs, cut backs, buying cheaper parts and generally f—ng up otherwise stable companies so their executives rake in the bank is their specialty sorry for what’s coming to Mequon and Middleton campuses all through Christmas especially if you are 10-20 years and don’t have highest achievement ratings! Only managers will be spared since they will be needed to manage the armies of temp workers coming in afterward and if you work in Quality? My condolences! I mwan what does it take for people to figure it out when plant managers leave? Duh, if you work in a facility where your plant manager suddenly leaves why do you think that is? Hello, they just got their exit package from Alix so the rest of what’s coming to the people at that location goes smoothly!

There is no good news! Wake up! I’m a production tech or I should say WAS a production tech in Devens MA been here a couple years great team interesting product yesterday a bunch of suits swoop in from Milwaukee to tell us we’re done, all production moving to Mexico by early next year and the doors are closing, even our office people will be gone, thanks Rockwell, layoffs continue! From my coworkers in Wisconsin this is a slow bleed that is not going to stop and RIF’s were happening out there this week too they just keep the numbers small so it’s not as noticeable like closing down a whole production plant!

I’m glad to hear more higher ups are getting let go. Fingers crossed that even more are shown the door.

The further cuts are progress. Highly visible figures in Sales leadership team are affected. Product management teams are affected as well.

RA desperately want some of their senior managers aka old timers to quit on their own accord…attrition.

I’ll jump on the Veena bandwagon. She did m&a at 3m. If Rockwell did adhesives and abrasives, good hire. Rockwell doesn’t. I was passed over for this role with 25 years and 8 acquisitions and untold analysis after being GM for 2 businesses. I hear she talks about her second and third properties to subordinates. Nice. Blake and Becky pick. Fire those doorknobs as a start. Bod. Wake up. Moret the mo--n has driven everything down.

When u have incompetent ppl like veena lakkundi in charge of decisions bigger than her pay grade expect the worst. She is a master of duping ppl in believing she knows something. And if that doesn’t work it’s straight to dei cards! She can’t wait to fire ppl, misfortune is her dr-g of choice.

Org changes are coming in, some directors and tech leads they don’t add any value to either business or IT need to be sacked

Way too many non-working paper pushing/vacation approver managers without any clarity of the role. I would not be surprised to see one level of mid manager ranks completely eliminated.

I was laid off in May

So -you guys are getting an “early “ raise in October and no raise for the next 15 months. Meanwhile. Blake the tu-d is paid extremely well and the board is full of sycophantic mo--ns. Be weary if to have experience. Blake has no use for you. 4 cfo’s. 3 supply chain execs, 5 sales sr vps. Blake changes leadership like he changes his incompetent underwear. Run!!!!!

You better believe we're fu---d. have you seen the stock price? I can only imagine how bad the earnings report will be next week. After the RIF a couple of months ago, now those left holding the bag are starting to leave. It's going to get worse before it gets better.

Layoffs would be done in August/September, before the end of the fiscal year. Sadly, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if there are more. This place sure has changed. :-(
