RTO for Accenture employees

Anyone hear about this? Apparently the RTO starting in September also affects people who have move to Accenture.

Here is another thing that is really hard to figure out. There was a guy named Darryl Jordan that was hired as the senior director of digital transformation about 4 years ago. I guess he is a goner too and there is no history of him at all on linkedin or in the company directory. His entire hierarchy of direct reports are now under fat joe. Usually those artifacts stick around but they scrubbed that quick. I know about this specifically because there was someone that would have been a much better hire but wasnt the proper demographic, he is a VP now somewhere else. Darryl was brought in from the outside and I know he has a connection to Accenture because one of the leads on this project specifically mentioned that he and Darryl used to do implementations together, that was about 2 weeks before they told us the project was delayed and they have no idea why. Something is really messed up with this whole sitch. I just hope all these old legacy chums get their fair portion of f you.

Kim said something about going to an expense based model when she announced this to us, whatever that means.

As someone on the Accenture side now, I can tell you it is a mess, I have no idea how they selected the people to be in the roles they are in. I really was hoping the bs, posturing and talking about how much work is done would stop, but I don't see any hint of that. I have had one 15 minute conversation with what I guess is my manager but I have no idea what I even do. I am a long time L3 legacy employee and I never thought I would be in a weirdo situation like this. I blame myself for not leaving sooner when the opportunities existed and I wasn't in the demographic I am in. I can add that it is a pretty uncomfortable place to be, how long do the checks keep coming?

Wild, just absolutely wild.

The tax deductions should be similar as well, regardless of it’s outsourced expenses or inhouse expenses.

Wonder what accounting hoops are being used to justify such a drastic measure of punting the whole IT out of the company.

"question- how exactly did the accenture exodus save the company money?"

I think it is how they account for the expense. Corporate accounting is more complicated than expenses and revenue even though that is all that goes into the equation.

everybody is being paid the same, and we still need the same amount of IT support and servers and infrastructure, but instead of paying at employee rates now they’d have to pay Accenture for services and pay profit to account for Accenture’s overhead

not true, IT is remote, there may be a handful of people (hey look at me I am here and working but standing here talking to you about football games) that would even want to go in, that is why nothing gets done other than talking about work and service now "analytics" that are probably crafted to prove otherwise, at least that is what my friend told me. If these bozos think that all the IT people they just hosed plan on maintaining their allegiance to the one team one mission goal GFL! They are Accenture employees now, they don't report to L3, quit treating them like your friends, you sc--wed them and their families and they are trying to make lemonade now so F em.
