Just got “terminated” this week after 20+ years there. They don’t even have the decency to just give us severance and let us go. We have to stay on until October to “transfer knowledge” or we do not get severance. I rue the day I ever started working there.🤬🤬🤬

I have friends in the US who have been told they're getting laid off in Q3. This definitely isn't over yet.

If you haven’t already figured it out (and can’t imagine why anyone hasn’t), when they say layoffs are done/over, they are simply omitting the obvious, qualifying follow-up phrase of ‘for the moment.’
