Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

Some knew before others

Avaya also canceled vendors' contracts before their term but expected the contractors to stick around to help transition. I feel sorry for the Avians that are left, as they will be asked to work massive amounts of overtime trying to fix the ship after it has already hit the iceberg. Avaya customers also need to look at alternatives seriously. If you thought your product support su-ks now, wait till you see the new support specialist they have for you now. I can tell you that not one Avaya product that is getting released does not have major issues. Avaya has decided to go with the Microsoft and Google QA models. Release it, watch it break, and then if they can find someone for $10.00 an hour, try to fix it. Avaya talks about product houses. Well, if you can call a person sitting in a coffee shop in Asia Pact a product house, I guess that might work for you. To those customers in the decision-making process, don't buy into the BS. It is all smoke and mirrors. Those who spoke up about Avaya's deceptive practices and their poor treatment of their staff were shown the door today.

There is always someone to do private equity's dirty work. And to answer your question, for $10+ million, YOU would do this to people. And if you think AM is leaving a flaming tu-d behind, you ain't seen nothing yet from the new private equity lapdog CEO.

What a contrast from Alan Masarek's grand vision he laid out of his first "All Employee meeting" in Aug. 2022. He did the ultimate bait and switch on all the employees and the company as a whole. Now he sails on into the sunset with millions, while everyone else hits the un-employment line or has to exit their careers early, and he has the audacity to still talk his BS success story as he exits. What kind of sc-mbag would do this to people?
