Does this mean potential layoffs on the horizon? Like every team in our department has been directed from our management to work on documenting everything we do. Keep in mind this new management came in less than a year ago.

Process Documentation doesn't remove the need for critical thinking skills and talent performing the processes. We only need to look at the quality of current out sourced deliverables. But shhhh we are not allowed to point this out.
You know Medtronic is cooked when leadership can't come up with new ideas and have to resort to outsourcing our jobs as a way to "increase profits."
Yes that is exactly what that means. They want every process documented so when the outsource company takes over, they will have the documents. Been there with same company
Soon the entire company will consist of outsourced contractors and execs who exploit their labor for short-term gain.
Same... and I am working in the EU country. Lots of new quests from APAC being invited to our meetings where we present what we are doing. Making lists of reports we prepare... its coming.
Wow Wee ... only document what you do on a basic daily basis. If they ask for A don't give a freebie for B and C, Let them pay for B and C in the future. Sorry to hear this bad news.
That’s why I always document only the most necessary of what’s required and keep the rest in my head or in my private notes. I am not going to deliver all my knowledge to a foreign successor on a silver tablet.
For security purposes I can’t delve into it, but there’s your answer.
I got this message as well. Management was ask to do quarterly reviews. I suspect lay-offs will occur more frequently.
It’s pretty simple.
If you have to document everything and/or you have people from a foreign country added without a requisition, then your group is being evaluated for a cut.
Sorry. It’s been time to look for a while now.
Yeah what OU?
What department or OU?
That's a terrible sign. Get ready.
