Thread regarding Medtronic Inc. layoffs

Everybody seems determined to leave

It's scary and sad seeing all these great folks and talented people leaving. There's a quiet exodus happening, and it just keeps getting worse every day. More and more people are jumping ship, and it's turning into a serious brain drain. I have a feeling this is only the beginning, and there's more to come. This does not bode well for the future.

Yeah, I'm trying to leave too. The job market is bit challenging though

On the good news side, Medtronic was named one of the best companies to work for by U.S. News and World Report

HR is too busy prepping layoff letters

I left too a few months ago. What I don’t understand is how HR is not looking at certain departments that have a big turn around to find out why?? R & D and Clinical are losing talent left and right. Where is HR?

The VERP last year pushed hundreds of veterans with 30+ years each to jump ship. Lots from R and D. In MV it still feels like we’re lost.

It really isn’t surprising. MDT is managed worse than a dumpster fire

It is easier to leave if there is no pension or RSU - other than the 401k vesting.

Anybody with half a brain is gone already. You are just a nail and MDT a hammer. I left in last three months and every single day I am thankful for it.
