Thread regarding Rockwell Automation Inc. layoffs

DEI Impact

DEI is having a negative impact on morale and value. I was passed for an internal, latteral, role change dispite being more than qualified.

I have no issue hiring the best person for the job. That was clearly not what occured in my case (I knew the other applicant).

I have to image this is part of the reason the company is losing value. Down about $90 per share from a year ago!

As long as Veena has a say in this expect half of India to be repatriated at one tenth of the cost…

In response to poster "DEIOH", if you were an RA employee you would know how bad a situation RA is in now as seen in the poor sales, poor management and multiple rounds of layoffs. Senior management is trying to turn it around by undoing all the DEI initiatives implemented over the last few years. They once touted how 4 of the primary manufacturing plants were being run by women, they all failed with 3 leaving the company and 1 moved to a non-management role. The VP's of sales, 1 in NA and 1 in EMEA, both women, were shown the door. Unfortunately RA is a follower in many regards and this was just another trend they got onboard with. It's time to return to hiring the most qualified candidate, not the one that checks the most diversity boxes.

I fall under DEI category, but I saw my manager hire someone with zero experience for the skills they were hired, they were even sent to training, but that person is not doing what they were hired to do. This is just filling up someone for just name's sake or for to show some numbers. Honestly, I support DEI but when you hire people like this, rest of the team lost faith in the company leadership when some of the team members were let go.

I am a DEI Champion and these comments are mostly from racist Trump supporters. Likewise the numbers speak for themselves Rockwell has the most female, minority and LGBTQ managers in all competitions. DEI is taking Rockwell to the next level and why it will be a feature showcase at our upcoming Automation Fair in California. DEI has made more revenue for our company than most engineers combined. sorry, not sorry to burst racist bubbles with truth!

DEI helps tap into low cost resources!
It also helps out to remove highly paid senior managers.

So this company showed a LinkedIn post in development of young talen. Right after they pulled college offers and laid of early career leadership hires. They are without principal. If you are young leave. If you are considering Rockwell, wait for Blake the dolt to be fired and half the current leadership team
To be fired. If you work there. Head down and keep your paycheck. Maybe you ride the Blake sh-t years through but be prepared to do hard work to get back to the entitlement Rockwell should have

Sounds like an excuse. Dei is bullsh-t but so is right wing propagandist rhetoric. Elon is an a-s and only cares about making the .001% richer. Don’t be a fool. And Blake is too stupid and only serves his id--tic ego. Lean forward and turn red. Ask Blake. That is his MO.

"The upper, middle, and lower management at this company are all white. In fact, this company mainly consists of middle-aged white men......"

This is simply untrue. Whoever wrote this does not work for RA.

"Rockwell is not struggling because it lacks the best product...."

Again, whoever wrote this does not work for RA or they have their head in the sand. We have multiple problems with our products that upper management has down played.

"....it has a leadership problem. Who are the ones making the big decisions? The same white folks who always think they are superior to everyone else."

This part is true at every level of management regardless of race or gender. VP level and up are really sc--wing us with their decisions and the others lack the experience and courage to challenge the status quo.

The upper, middle, and lower management at this company are all white. In fact, this company mainly consists of middle-aged white men. Yet, there are complaints about DEI. Rockwell is not struggling because it lacks the best product but because it has a leadership problem. Who are the ones making the big decisions? The same white folks who always think they are superior to everyone else.

I've experienced this myself. All I can say is keep trying, the person that got it will likely wash out in 6-12 months, then you'll get your chance to show them they made a mistake by passing you over the first time.
