Tr3 is a cluster fu-k. Throwing bodies at it. Looks like Kim will be the one to be forced to fall on her sword.

That news is almost a year old. TR3 still a mess for L3H but at least Lockheed has started making deliveries.
Sept 6 (Reuters) - U.S. we-pons maker Lockheed Martin cut its full-year delivery forecast for F-35 jets as delays at supplier L3Harris Technologies held up development of an upgraded version of the aircraft, the company said on Wednesday.
The delays at Lockheed's largest program pushed shares down to 4.7% at Wednesday's close, while L3Harris settled 1.3% lower.
Lockheed now expects to deliver 97 aircraft that run on existing technology this year, it said in a filing, down from between 100 and 120 jets it previously forecast. The company, however, maintained its annual financial outlook.
"We have updated our F-35 TR-3 schedule projections with a first TR-3 aircraft delivery between April and June 2024," Lockheed said. It earlier expected to deliver the first jet by the end of this year.
"The development of the Integrated Core Processor(ICP) by L3 Harris has driven delays due to unexpected challenges associated with hardware and software development, component and system integration testing and system qualification testing," it added.
L-3 (with or without hyphen) was part of the team bidding on F-35 Tech Refresh 3 (TR-3) but lost to the then-separate Harris. No idea if they have been called in to help but for some reason I really doubt it.
TR3 had nothing to do with ITT/Exelis - it ties back to the old Harris GCSD business and was part of ES prior to the L3 merger and not SIS. Clifton had pieces in both SIS and ES that rolled into SAS.
As far as I recall Clifton was a bit of a mess when Harris bought it - particularly the GPS side.
SAS was once the top performer in the legacy ITT and Exelis businesses. But that fell apart when Harris acquired it and disbanded the seasoned leadership and replaced a proven process with their ridiculous assembly line methodology. Now SAS is going downhill fast. The talent is gone from Clifton and the only ones still there are self involved BS artists who can't get a job anyplace else.
77 River Road, Clifton New Jersey for sale. $30 million.
SAS in Clifton is hanging by a thread. there were layoffs in October 2023 and April 2024. it looks like there will be more in October of 2024. Parking space won't be a problem for those returning to on-site work schedules since the layoffs will remove a large number of personnel. Either way the days are numbered for this New Jersey facility
It's been a cluster for years. SAS is incompetent.
f35 tr3?
I thought all the modules were supposed to be done. it was considered delayed like 2 years ago…. its STILL going?
god damn lockheed martin is never going to come to us for avionics ever again
