The MOST frequent user of the term SME???? Well that would be an SME. They tend to remind you often of these silly 3 letters.
FMEA. I lock myself in my home office and crank these out by myself. It's the greatest story never told.
in my day, we had a Senior Technical Specialist and a Junior Technical Specialist.
Theses are examples of intialisms, not acronyms.

well.. if they laid off all the 10+ year SME. and hire a bunch of gen-z. I guess the 24 yo is a SME compare to the 22yo fresh out of college
Where I work, they bestow SME job titles on 24-year-olds. Totally unbelievable!
What depth or experience does Gen-Zero possess to be called a SME?
I would not be surprised if labeling a 24-year-old a SME is some Progressive DEI cr-p floating around.
