Thread regarding Gainwell Technologies layoffs

HMS Legacy layoffs?

Anyone have insight to how the HMS legacy teams will be affected by layoffs? specifically for Medicaid contexts in Colorado, Wyoming, Arizona etc? Some of these contexts require workers to be in office, but more and more programs keep getting implemented that make it seem like they’re doing everything they can to outsource and automate that will make the in office thing moot. Thoughts?

Legacy HMS staff will be let go soon. Mark and company will get a good boost to the bottom line reducing legacy HMS because most are long term with comp ratios that exceed their current title and the next one or two levels. Some of these people make more than their immediate managers. Everyone is expendable. Mark and company don’t care about experience nor knowledge. Quickest reduction in expenses is cutting staff for short term gains and offshoring to meet their 70-30 ratio. Can’t wait when clients find out offshore has access to PHI and PII.

I wonder the same since HMS hasn’t rally seen any big layoff’s maybe because the departments are so small and because we bring in Millions a month. I know we are not safe and I agree that automation is being pushed for everything. If they let too many ppl go the projects won’t be able to run. I have a feeling a lot of HMS contracts will be lost with this continued type of behavior. Some of this incompetent leaders still believe HMS is safe, those days are long gone. It’s like a target is on everyone’s back so it’s best to just leave.

I've said it before multiple times.... nobody is safe! gainwell, HMS, ex-Molina...yada yada yada.

if you are US-Based resource of course.

the only employees that are relatively safe are any that were hired in Puerto Rico. The laws there make it really really difficult for an employee to be fired. Legal usually removes any name from the WFR list as soon as they realize is a Puerto Rico-based employee.

India.... don't even get me started on India. anybody that has worked with India based resources quickly realizes just how utterly incompetent they are. no matter what they do, and specially, what they don't do (like their jobs for pete's sake) they get away with it.

if you are a US-based employee, and you are not a vice president of whatever, YOU ARE NOT SAFE!!!

if you are thinking in terms of "Am I safe?"... its time to start looking for another job.

Pretty sure you are at the same risk as the rest of us. Layoffs happen weekly nowadays at Gainwell. If your name comes up you are let go. And with the big push to offshore more the risk increases for all of us Americans.
