If they ask why I left the company , should I say I got laid off?
Or should I say I wanted new growth opportunities so I left on my own? I don’t know. it’s all very new to me.

Absolutely. You and 5% of the company. I doubt it will hurt your prospects at all. Don't say 'fired', not the same.
Just say you “retired”. I’ve retired twice and am still working full time.
No you should not! Make up something that they would want to hear.
Companies are lazy and use other companies’ views of you to judge you without having too do the work themselves. If another company didn’t want you, it looks bad. (Even if it was not your fault)
I got hit with an RIF last year. I was honest and it did not effect any interviews I had.
A Reduction In Force is very common. Don't worry about it. It's your old employers cash flow problem l, not yours.
They're wanting to screen out people that admit to performance issues. So don't admit to any PIP or being the root cause of an OSHA violation and you should be golden!
Just let them know your position was eliminated due to an organization wide reduction in force (RIF). It’s well known and won’t be a surprise to employers especially if they due their own research.
Yes, if it comes up. L3Harris is a dying company and your next perspective will know that and understand.
Say that due to headwinds, you were rationalized. Might even make you CEO!
Seriously... sorry for your situation.
Corporate wide layoffs.
We increased shareholder earnings , by reducing our ability to meet customer expectations, via reduced headcount.
Say, the company downsized staffing & I was affected.
Ok then what do i say?
