Thread regarding Wayfair Inc. layoffs

Frontline will be affected the most?

I see in comments and hear from colleagues that this is what most of us expect. Is there any new info, update, confirmation?

If there is a layoff everyone still gets a email so they can still let us know Thursday night if the emails go out.

Thank you that's pretty detailed information about EU Frontline not being affected. Can you tell us what parts of front line are affected? That would be helpful then some of us would know instead of the wondering until Friday.

It could be EU and Na or just NA,
at this point I don’t think anyone has pinpointed locations for this. As of now we wait and it will be known soon enough. Anyone who gets the notice this Friday I wish you all the best. Maybe anyone who sees the goodbye or you’re safe e-mails this Friday that are in EU can give us a heads up on this thread since you will know first.

You’re not going to get a confirmation. The fact it’s been spoken about on this site for the last few months of threads is enough proof. Anytime the chatter picks up on here, it’s normally because something is planned to happen. The best advice I can offer is plan accordingly and if you do get that email on either of the remaining Friday’s this month, at least you won’t be completely in the dark.

Digital frontline will be the easiest to let go with the in place overseas teams to cover the workload already. They have had backups ready to take over as soon as they hired the Jamaican team to “help” with peak season. That is 8 months to train them on the higher skills. There is zero reason to keep US digital agents that get paid a lot. The over seas agents make $8.00 a day. Not a hour, a day. Why would they keep agents they have to pay more? We get heads up on this site something is going down. But never know how many employees or the exact departments that will be affected.

Frontline(especially frontline digital/flex) teams are being let go and replaced with the off shore agents hired over the last year. L2’s-L6’s are being restructured.
