Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Massive Layoffs

As everyone knows, massive layoffs are coming. The first will occur with the shut down of Talent Connection and arrive in late June to early/mid July.

October will represent another bloodbath.

High estimates put impacted at almost 50%.

Saying there are going to be layoffs at Allstate is like saying the sun is going to come up in the east. You can set your watch by it.

But we had a big lay off October of last year! We 'flattened the organization to be more efficient! We're on our way!' Remember that spin? It wasn't even based on performance, it was based on getting to a certain number.

Once again, the flavor of the month delivery model failed. Not because it wasn't a great idea, but because the sycophants and yes people in middle management, who are dug in like ticks, continued to do what they've always done with cover from their managers. All while cheerleading about how everything is just rosy and we're delivering at new and unheard of scales. Incidentally, these are the same people who survive wave after wave of RIFs because they are dug in like ticks.

So we'll pick another set of random expendables, run them over the hill and pronounce ourselves 'flat and efficient' and then slap brand new 'product model' paint on the same old culture and overhead. The people producing the overhead will continue to do it and slow down delivery, all without challenge, accountability or consequence. Political games, territorial preservation/expansion and personal agendas/bonus checks will drive delivery priorities.

Then next year we'll do it again when they find a new fad to follow. The circle of life at Allstate. At what point does Nelson Peltz see this decades long pattern?

It’s should be night like 75% with all the dead weight around here. No wonder this companies quotes are the most expensive in the industry and people are fleeing to other insurers.
Shame on the drunken management
