hey for those of you in the US who used Nielsen's healthcare, were you offered Cobra at the end of your severance? I have zero information on Cobra in my severance agreement.

Dental is much more affordable. For myself and my children it’s around $80 per month. The dental insurance was always really good so I chose to keep that.
Geeeeeez!! $1500 is nuts! I’m curious about how much it is for just dental.
And how can they deny work verification? You worked so just verify! Isn’t that illegal?
Also! You can keep your FSA if you only carry forward part of your insurance, like dental which is far cheaper than the medical. As long as you use Cobra for something, you keep your FSA. You might have to jump through hoops to get it reinstated if it gets turned off for some reason, but you still have it until you use it all up.
Wait a second, you should not be asked to payback FSA...the company reclaims what you don't spend and takes that hit. Unless I'm misunderstanding, it's a 'use it or lose it before end of severance' scenario, not a 'ask for it back' scenario.
"Money left unused in your FSA goes to your employer after you quit or lose your job unless you are eligible for and choose COBRA continuation coverage of your FSA. Even if you're able to continue your FSA with COBRA, your FSA money can't be used to pay for monthly COBRA health insurance premiums."
Did they find a loophole to get money back from you, or is FSA saying you used funds on an illegible purchase? UGH I'm frustrated for you, this sounds wrong.
And holy sh-t $1500 a month
Got my COBRA paperwork today.
Almost $1500 a month! Got a bill from the FSA to pay back the money I delegated.
Since layoff, never been treated horribly by a company ever. Refused to pay my vacation (I used none). Refused to do a work verification so I could secure employment post layoff.
Sad, I really misjudged this company from the start! Horrible!
Crazy ride.
thank you
i’ve never been laid off before i have no idea what i’m doing
you should be eligible for cobra. go to the digital.alight.com/Nielsen website and give them a checking account to deduct from.
