Thread regarding L3Harris Technologies layoffs

Tilden thoughts

Imagine Scott Tilden listening in to the town hall nonsense today. Guy worked hard to win new business, has a few teams recognized and gets canned and replaced by young guy with no market knowledge, no contacts. When leaders don’t what to do, they blame those below them. What are all of these other supposed leaders doing? When does that question get voted on?

go to Clifton if you want to be an engineer. no degree needed. just a good bs story. real engineers left the company a long time ago. L3HARRIS embraces fakeness. maybe the next CEO will come from there.

"Engineers make great engineers, not great management"
If the program is low tech then whatever. I think L3H has way too many non-technical or tech-lite folks representing high-tech work and that's a fundamental problem. You can only do so well if your leads are accountants or glorified admins.

Harris has always placed lower performing engineers in management roles. No training or prior management experience. Engineers make great engineers, not great management. But the engineer ego 🙄
