Mental Health

Have you seen a lot of people in your groups/orgs taking leaves due to mental health/stress issues? I’ve seen an increase in my group and now one person (in management) announced their leaving and two others are quitting. Along with mult people taking leave for stress the past few years. It’s really tough to see this. Maybe other groups just fare better?

Men need time off from the women who ruined this company that her Dad and Grandpa built...see how that works:)

Someone I work with was very sick a year ago and pushed through it for three months, because they worried their job would be at risk. They were in really bad shape and should have taken a leave of absence.

This is the environment everyone is in.

The women need time off to recoup from all the ignorance from the men.

Don’t for a minute believe they won’t push you out if you claim a mental medical condition. High performance is only thing our management cares about at the end of the day, everything else just HR. One way or another you will be pushed out if you show any sign of weakness or slow down.

No but I see why. So overworked, undervalued, and underpaid. Always scare tactics.

There’s also less shame surrounding telling people that’s why they’re taking time off

I have definitely noticed that a lot this year. People are burning out given the constant reorgs and the pressure to deliver quickly. Nothing slows down or stops.

I haven't seen an uptick in mental leaves in our group. Usually 1-2 women a year will take time off and we don't know why.
