Long-term plan for sure, but how quickly? Very little talk lately about Diary call center activity beyond the current Spring Survey, aside from months-ago mention that may be needing agents to call on follow-ups. I foresee major layoff of diary-trained-only agents in mid-June. Any news to the contrary? Summer Survey will most def be the end…..Seems to me that the question looms large in all meetings, like the Elephant in the Room that nobody wants to acknowledge or inquire about…doesn’t affect me, but can’t imagine that potentially affected agents wouldn’t want to know…..Everybody seems afraid to mention the unmentionable. Baffling… I’d want to know where I stand— better than perpetual limbo….

pressure is on to stay before they ask us to leave. I was told how good my scores are and they would love to keep me after the last round of layoffs i expressed my anxiety about staying . I asked are you anticipating more? they said its a business we cant say either way.
I agree with you on your points minus Diary only trained RIs being let go. I don't believe that anyone is safe from the next round of elimination, including Recruiters.
I know a handful of recruiters were let go in April layoffs. A handful is a lot considering there are not many of us to begin with.
Nielsen has been recruitment training more RIs in the GCC and they make sure to mention how the GCC RIs are performing much better than US based ones. Even if you are a recruiter, i would not get too comfortable. Update your resume and begin your job hunt now.
Anything that Can be digital, Will be digital. The cost savings are what will drive literally all decision making.
They are worried about turning a profit NOW, not later. Which is why there will be no profit to turn later.
Arthur Nielsen is rolling in his grave.
Seems like they've talked about it. Let some folks go, find work for others.
I’m to busy calling now I will write when I’m done for the day
To add to my OP, there was recent industry news that mentioned Nielsen’s plans to make outreach to previously-polled diary households with most desirable demographics…but not stated that this would involve calling vs digital contact…seems that calling would be necessitated since emails aren’t necessarily collected— texts are a possibility, so long as sample was cellphone-based….Could prolong the agony for awhile….Many unknowns for sure, but if anybody can shed any light on the subject, please do. TL’s must be shaking in their boots as well….. I do feel that continued focus on Diary performance is disingenuous, if not utterly pointless. Diary IS going away, just a matter of when….
