Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Engagement Survey Results

Did everyone see the spin that they tried to put on the poor engagement surveys? What a joke! We went from a 76 to a 79 which means we are improving everyone yay!!! Rather than addressing anything or going over the improvements they are going to make they just try to spin the poor results as being positive. On top of all that the question that everyone voted the lowest was that Schwab creates barriers to do our jobs and Katie’s solution to that was for us to talk to our managers ha!!! I want to know what score they got on the question about if the EC is doing a good job or not because that had to be low

I love watching the town halls with all the sycophants like Jon Beatty Lisa Hunt and the regular cast of "Senior " managers brown nose and chuckle at town halls. Leaders like these have little to no respect of the people they are meant to lead as they are seen as corporate climbers showing little interest in their subordinates careers or concerns.

did you know these comments are trolled by company marketing teams to put down those that leave negative comments

Y'all are in some cr-ppy orgs. Our MD is fully transparent and discusses every result on the survey, warts and all. And then he put is on Directors to decide what we feel should be worked on. We chose 4 categories for the year, presented those to the entire org and have set up working groups (at ALL levels) to work on change. This will be downvoted because the love for negativity here... but I just wanted to take 2 mins and say it is not all of Schwab that "doesn't care".

These surveys are a joke. Our PL will only host meetings on how to improve from the surveys if they are mildly good. This quarter the team decided to give mildly good results, now the PL wants to have a meeting about it. Last survey we marked everything low cus the last survey was more about PL's and managers. Guess what no meeting to focus on how our PL can do better.. guess the solution is to ignore the poor surveys and only have meeting if we are doing good or mildly good. No more PL's please we don't need them on the tech side we need doers and real leaders.

Mandatory? Beatings will continue until morale improves!

My VP asked me point blank if I completed it. I looked them in the eye and said immediately after the email came out. (I’ve never completed one.)

What will they do? Call me out individually showing it’s not anonymous?

It is really simple. They want to pat themselves on the back and claim nothing is wrong. My saying their wrong won’t change that.

Manager told us that the survey participation for our team was under 50%...so Glint survey responses are mandatory now. And of course it's "anonymous"

My friend you have it all wrong. Engagement survey identifies what employees think is broken. But it is not intended to help management fix what you think is broken.

It is intended to help management fix you.

I only care about three metrics.

  1. Participation rate. Filling out a non anonymous survey is a waste, especially when any constructive result is spun and ignored.
  1. Number of surveys that are gamed. People who fill it out knowing their manager will retaliate.
  1. My compensation package and working conditions. This is the only survey I care about. Period.

Probably was extremely low which is why it wasn't mentioned. The upper deck NEVER reports anything that is negative only something they could spin into a positive!
