Workday Accomplishments

What’s the story of this new workday thing to record our accomplishments in workday? And why it starts two day before earning call?

All you engineering types need to figure out if putting down you did 10 bug scrubs or 6 change windows is worth keeping you around.

When a bunch of sc--w ups completely mess up a program and all the neighboring teams have their projects cancelled for years to help that first team that's all management wants to see. If you went off and spent time creating another $1B in revenue you weren't spending that time on the tasks you were assigned and you'll be beaten for it.

Pretty simple. What did you accomplish the past year? All you engineering types need to figure out if putting down you did 10 bug scrubs or 6 change windows is worth keeping you around. I would go with no if that's all you have,

Cisco desperately needs creative innovation so they're counting how many burgers you cook per hour. Good job!

I got the email, so it's being used for ICs in CX at least. @4rip+1srWwPnf

Curious if its only used for some... It's not announced as a pilot program.

Is this required for everyone at Cisco or only specific people? I got an email this morning about the task in workday.

Most of the work I did at Cisco wasn't anything remotely an "accomplishment" ; more appropriate branding would have been, maybe something to "accomplish"...

No...still wrong phrase...how about:

  • "accompli-sh*t"

It was all done behind your back by managers and directors since 2012-2013. They have moved to workday now.

May be they don’t trust managers now since a lot of reviews are not perfect and many lack good judgement or they are biased !

Always email your work done at year end even if there is no official review.

Similar to managers were asked to document year end reviews and then share with employees in workday. Managers would rate employees with meeting or not meeting job requirements, and employees to sign-off. All these get tabulated and fed into system to short list employees for PIP/LR.

More than likely to be used for PIPs and end of year LRs. It sounds it might be too late for upcoming May LRs.
