I remember when they gave out individual bonuses based on performance. High performers who really moved the needle for the company got large bonuses. Since then they socialized it where everyone at defined levels gets the same amount. This was the first shot across the bow. Now they just can’t help themselves and add new metrics every year in order to slash the MIP payout.
Everyone gets punished now just so Geoff can steal from the MIP payout to adjust the EPS. Look folks wall street knows Medtronic has lot it’s way and doesn’t care about innovation. Instead all Geoff and his minions care about is keep increasing the dividend payout to prevent the stock from completely collapsing.
