Is Denver the new London?

We talk about cutting costs but we keep hiring people in Denver and flying them to Houston, putting them in hotels and paying for their trips. How does this align with cost cutting initiatives. Tough when management only says things about cost cutting but do things like this. Company is falling apart and we have no strategy other then executives rushing to be the first ones to post on LinkedIn. Maybe less LinkedIn and more on an actual strategy. Only so much cost to cut

Well, maybe that's temporary.
The scariest thing I have seen so far is them looking for volunteers to relocate permanently (not as an expat for just a few years) in one of the low cost centers to train the locals. Wonder if that position comes with a redundancy package attached as part of the offer cause guess what's going to happen after a few years when they realize you earn 4/5 times as the trained locals...
