Shell employee here, those of yall who moved from Shell to COP (or another supermajor to COP), how do you like it?
How is the work, how is the pay?

The better question is how does work at Shell-US compare to BPX, XOM, Chevron, MPC, OXY and EOG?
Is this question a joke?
COP su-ks, and Shell is a technical leader and a real oil and gas company.
Comparing COP to Shell is like comparing a kids T ball Team to a Major League Team or trash to a diamond or COP Alaska to a flush toliet.
COP has always wanted to be a super major. They act like they imagine a super major acts. They spend like they imagine a super major spends.
But they have absolutely no idea how to actually do the work and get the job done. The result is a tragi-comic spectacle resulting in lots of initiatives, meetings, and process, with very little actual substance.
But the pay is ok.
COP is scrub central. They literally bought Shell’s Permian acreage which was mostly all water and mostly OBO lolz

any specifics as to why you feel that way?
It’s like driving a Pinto after driving a Mercedes. It gets you from point A to B but not safely or reliably or quickly. You don’t really want anyone you know to see you in it and you’re doing your best to upgrade as soon as possible.
