Titanic Violinist nailed it. All the things that were positioned to employees as part of their compensation have been eliminated (even retroactively with the underwater stock options). Now 3M has eliminated options altogether for JG 14-15 and of course the discontinuation of pension funding. All these were positioned as part of your total compensation to be in line with peer companies (who offered higher wages)
Of course there is little chance for advancement after 'Advanced 3M' flattened the levels (but moved job titles down a level- Managers became Sr Managers, Sr Managers became Directors, Directors became VPs...) Promotions without compensation- Genius! LOL
Pay4 Performance reduced the rating scale to 1, 2, or 3 make earning an above average much more difficult.
Even Tartan Park is gone. At lease the Swells lost their five Corporate jets and Wonewok. Maybe that's why a would-be CEO was f#uckin' ho----s.

I saw the email heading and I said wow May 2 - they couldn't even wait a month or anything. Oh but it will be bigger! A nice extra fun send off! Doesn't that make you feel better? Since all my years of stock options ended up worth nothing, I feel like I had already come to terms with this one. I guess when one works for the company that polluted the entire planet, this is what we get.
