Thread regarding Emerson Electric Co. layoffs

Enterprise IT has been hit

Enterprise IT had "restructuring actions". We were told that it affected only 5 positions, but they were like VP type positions. One is the "Chief Digital Officer" -- I didn't understand what he did and I guess the answer was "nothing that important"?

best cost country has always been the case although not usually at this level. The real joke here though is the one director that survived, the data management and analytics director and the most useless director ever to set foot in emerson. in our bu she is considered a complete joke and has never delivered a report on time or accurate. could not understand it until that is we find out there is a new woke policy namely that any senior position now must be filled by a female unless there is absolutely no alternative so does not matter if they can do the job they just need to be female.

This is the start of a bigger IT strategy by Jake Fritz. All High cost country IT jobs that don't require employees being present in that country will be moving to India. They are starting high up and will be working their way down over the coming months. IT in the US will not exist soon.
