So hearing the Work Council are getting involved so that means 30 and over redundancies in the pipeline for the Galway office.
Most likely all will be from R&D.
Is there actually a critical number in relation to the grants from the IDA?

Lease is up in 2026 apparently, and won’t be renewed as the building is already three quarters empty.
Let me guess ..
No one in Galway kissed STs ar-e.
She wants anyone gone who knows who she really is and knows the facts.
How many rounds of redundancies is left to go before they close it?
They will leave the 'Finance' department in Galway to wash the shekels, everything else will go soon enough, is what most think.

Hearing the names coming out of those impacted, sorry for you all.
Hopefully the severance softens the sadness.
Success to you all.
No one cares anymore.
Folks have known that Alan MassiveWreck was brought in to destroy, the warning was there for all. Anyone with sense already long gone.
Only yes sir no sir folks left in charge in Galway waiting for their turn at the payoff.
Close it and be done.
66 getting the boot in Galway.
R&D is dead so for the Galway office.
Comment removed regarding the IDA grants!!!! Why?
Anyway, an all hands lie session for Galway today at 2pm, guess they find out then.
R&D engineers at Avaya need to start thinking for themselves and do amazing stuff not the vanilla, old fashioned thinking of their truly incompetent management.
Bring in the thought Police . Root out anyone guilty of legacy thinking. Is it 1984? Engineers develop what they are told to do by a succession of incompetent leaders.
I find the statements regarding Grants fascinating. Avaya received grants to hire employees in Canada over 10 years ago too. Once the grants ran out so did the money for keeping the employees, many of them recently hired.
Interesting to see that Avaya is up to the same tricks.
The grant money explains why AM talked up the Galway office in 2022.
Not a di-kie bird, nor a peep or whisper from the Galway office.
It's like there is no one in charge or with any pulse on what's happening.
Just let the staff work on regardless, without direction or future.
DPTW indeed.
Where's the innovation if Avaya is ki-ling off so much of R&D? Looks like the only innovation AM is good at is in his phony spreadsheets. Same shell game just different magicians. Sooner or later the gig will be up. Good thing AM got his reward up front. The only way a liar can be successful is to get paid up front. So far none of his promises have even remotely come to pass, just words which is his craft.
M-C was most wise to ST and her game with Shefali Shah. M-C had a loooooong trail of evidence showcasing the corporate crimes of Shefali Shah and others andost definitely Avaya as a whole. She resigned with Legal direction and Avaya is f__'d based on all and knows and has shown she is willing to share
Close the Galway office to give the company a fresh start, unencumbered by legacy thinking.
Excellent question. Isn't the head of Avaya HR in the region? Why don't you check with head of Avaya Human Resources VP, A. M-C on what the expected number is? I have to believe the current leader of HR should know this! Unless . . . something happened and A. M-C isn't with Avaya any longer. (Cough)
How many is expected to go? 45 was mentioned
