Thread regarding Nielsen layoffs

Nielsen showing its racist face despite everyone knowing the true motive

https://www.nielsen.com/insights/2024/2024-graduates-diverse-leadership-network/

Virtue signaling to appear more progressive … but fool no-one, if you’re not female, white, middle aged and part of the nepotism crowd, you’ll be used for nothing more than a face mask for Nielsen-isms like diversity and GROW programs.

There is no growth, there is no diversity, there is no future at Nielsen no matter what they put out to the media. It’s all smoke and mirrors unless you’re interested in being a $10 hr call center agent in Mexico or lineup editor in India.

The owners will make sure of that.

Nielsen offshored work to these “rising stars” around 8 years ago, and quickly found out they were useless. We’re still cleaning up their work 8 years later.

Difference now is different ownership who have no business being in the media world, who have no care about quality, only the cheapest McDonalds level employees they can find.

Hence why they landed in India.

“Rising stars = $9 hr unskilled India labor.

Step aside folks as we are in the presence of greatness.”

Right. Our daughter works fast food here in the states while in college and makes twice that serving burgers. And these people consider themselves to be stars working at Nielsen for half or less? Ummmm, ok.

MAWW rule Scarborough? How did we even get to this as a topic?

This one may have won the internet today.

"you sure would not have passed the grading to be a NIELSEN employee"

Ummm, and what may this "grading" system be? Maybe low self esteem and a 9th grade education? Just enough to be able to call people at 9 o'clock at night and harass them about their remote control button pressing or possibly getting a new TV?

"Sounds like all this shade toward middle aged white woman is coming from ..."

Or maybe simply because Nielsen su-ks? Stop trying to overanalyze things ... and no, you're not even close.

Sounds like all this shade toward middle aged white woman is coming from a MAWW who was passed over for promotions or ignored because of your negative attitude toward people in general and the thought you were OWED something from the company. why didn't you just move on from Scarborough or where ever they acquired your toxic self.
you sure would not have passed the grading to be a NIELSEN employee you're a pick up from an acquisition soon to be laid to the side as Sunday trash .

Did anyone see the latest Momentum Monthly for May 2024?

At the end of Karthik’s pre-recorded word salad, what were we left with?

Answer. A Middle Aged White Woman welcoming the newest Indian leader to the company. Go figure.

"Middle aged white women" describes every speaker at a Scarborough Town Hall where we were talked to about "Diversity, Equality and Inclusion".

THIS 1,000 percent, and not just Scarborough but every part of Nielsen that I’ve been a part of.

Pompous MAWW telling you how diverse the company is while putting a few “token” people in place to make it look that way, but anyone here for 5 minutes can see through it.

good for middle aged white woman getting a leg up. on our team meetings the older white women get 95% of the prizes and they are given out by the older white women . LOL. it is so obvious to all of us the game is tilted and the men who worked there are always keep feet to the fire with threats of with holding bonus and additional payouts no let up for them poor basYards.

Curious as to who will eventually remain. Without diversity, decisions will become become very one sided if Nielsen is keeping Middle aged white women as the core of the Leadership teams.

So the remaining U.S. Leaders need to be White-Middle-Aged women as our India resources prefer that?

Has anyone really looked for that trend or is this the usual rumor-mill garbage?

Anyone notice that 13 of 16 (81%) of the people in the picture are female, with all but one having certain "traits"? Not very diverse IMO and thinking there may be some truth to this.

Agree with the OP. Key leaders and TL’s under the India team management are 85% as described (middle aged white women) and part of the “good ole girl club”. Forget going anywhere if not part of the group.
