Do people get a pat on the back if they post some of the propagandistic drivel I've been reading on LinkedIn lately? It's beyond pathetic. If it were only HR folks, I'd understand. But it's not. Reading it, people from outside would get a completely wrong picture of how it is to work here.

I just read some TME’s LinkedIn post just drawing short of saying he wanted to have the SVP of security’s babies.
There’s so many sycophants in our company.
I dread to think where we’ll be in 12 months time.
How are we laying off our sales folks and not our DEI apparatchiks? Shows you where our priorities are.
What does LinkedIn have to do with this board? Let get back to talking about layoffs and all the boring topics in the UK.
Linkedin dei criteria to promote dei …clownshow
Just as someone else said in another post, Linked-In is for Cluster B personality disorder types. Empty vessels make the most noise.
Linked-In used to be a resource for like minded professionals and a place to network. It’s now a self promoting, glorifying sales channel. I don’t bother with it any more.
I bet the ELT has an OKR to post 4 things a quarter on LinkedIn
Linkedin is where fools promote things to other imbeciles. It's a waste of time.
The amount of Area Sales VPs, SEDs, ODs, RMs, SEMs, AMs and SEs with self-promoting posts is disturbing. These same individuals take credit for all the hard work when they did nothing.
The self-promotion inherent in LinkedIn is the peasant version of the self-promotion that occurs at the executive level within Cisco. In fact, at Cisco, executives get to focus entirely on performative self-promotion as there is no accountability for actual business performance. There is always someone else to blame for losing marketshare.
LinkedIn is just disgusting. This thing people are doing where they use emojis as bullet points or reference points in their posts is just so cringe.
Soon, so many people are going to try to be LinkedIn Stars, those that refrain will be the ones who truly standout.
These LinkedIn clowns are just that…Clowns.
Linkedin is a cesspool for virtue signalers - nothing more, nothing less.
an example of that "propagandistic drivel"?
It’s mostly either the same people that post sycophantic messages on the check-ins who don’t want to leave Cisco, and hope that their management chain/HR give them kudos for it.
Or people looking for new jobs who hope their potential new management chain/HR like their ‘visibility’.
LinkedIn is mo--nic.
