Thread regarding TIAA (TIAA-CREF) layoffs

TIAA, stop begging people to sign up for T’s newsletter

It’s no accident that people aren’t signing up. Why would they care what she has to say? She hasn’t earned the credibility and respect for people to willingly engage in the influencer-style communication she wants to have. She’s built up a reputation for being a leader of servants, not a servant-leader.

This email newsletter feels like just another effort to use her platform to create celebrity (internally this time). If people want to follow her curated content, everyone knows how to find her Instagram and Twitter.

Some people will sign up out of a sense of obligation or curiosity, but T hasn’t given the rest of us a good reason to follow what she does or says.

Why would anyone want to sign up - She is fake. Just sits there during any important meeting and does not say anything. She is out of touch with the work "force", just like Sastry. Stop acting like an influencer and try running the company. It is imploding right now from a lack of direction.

It might be a test to see how loyal you are to the Pied Piper, which is really pathetic! Someone tells relatable stories, and yet is not relatable to the masses once they achieve success.

I would rather read the back of a shampoo bottle while sitting on the toilet.
