I remember when they rolled out the 90 day terms, and the generously offered to connect suppliers to credit firms that could loan them money if necessary to cover their expenses while they waited for Medtronic to pay... Insanity -and does anyone think that those companies carrying costs dont come back to Medtronic by higher price? anyone surprised that these same suppliers aren't interested in working with us more broadly, when you cant trust the companies word

Assuming PH = Philippines
What is PH?
"CQS is moving to India" or the the PH. Seems to make sense to me, WiPro will own this team soon.
Payment terms are a great example of poor decisions. Looks great on paper, but I imagine the suppliers are passing it right back to us. Also fully expect the concept of net 120 will be on the table sooner rather than later.
The storm is the what happens to the chair when bowtie sits down and starts to think.
Is the storm “layoffs”? Can they get this over with? People want to move on with their lives.
The fact that we’re not paying vendors this week is our typical operating mode. We don’t pay on time period. And there is new language in our supply agreements that says we don’t own the inventory until it arrives at our dock. So a 90 day payment term just got extended by the length of the transit time. I feel sorry for our suppliers and I hope they have enough margin to cover this further delay In receiving payment.
Where is anyone hearing this info?
CQS is moving to India
If I remember right. Cqs = customer quality. Complaint handling, field communication, responding to recall questions. Etc.
I’d be surprised if they’re touched. Pretty stripped down to the bone already.
What is cqs?
I hear cqs is going to get hit hard
Not paying any vendors this week
