Been reading articles and it seems we are lacking in production and revenue

Oxy stock will not go higher until they massively increase the dividend. Dividend is awful
If you are an employee life has been great with big bonuses and nice salary increases. Stockholders are not
doing well unless they follow the lead of WB. Buy in upper 50s because the stock will grow to 70 eventually. If you sell at 70 it will be a nice return. Then turn around and do it again and again and again.
Morphing glacially slow and banking on oil and gas revenue to pay the rent. The butterfly keeps buying up production... Shell, Exxon, Total and Hess also see the energy transition but the near term for them are still searching for hydrocarbons. Carbon capture and Lithium mining looks flashy on 60 minutes... Almost five years post APC with nothing to show for it... Enjoy the ride while you can.
Is that still the metric for Oxy? I thought Oxy was like a caterpillar in its cocoon, morphing into something new and wondrous with all the low carbon ventures on tap
You haven't grown organically.. You just buy reserves. 80+% of worldwide energy consumption is still from oil and gas... It's not going away any time soon... Time to talk to the few APC/KMG employees that are still in the building (Algeria, Mozambique, SubSalt GOM, Onshore US...) and find out exploration is done. The professionals in the Uxbridge office have worldwide experience that I bet you haven't tapped...
Afraid so.
