I was laid off last year. I was panicking. I’ve had a home full of dependents, and a considerable debt. My situation made me push hard for a new job. It was really bad at first, with many disappointments and more panicking. Then I got lucky, landed a great job in a smaller company, with better pay and benefits, great colleagues and much less stress. If you’re laid off, it may be a great thing in disguise. Sometimes I think only fear keeps us in jobs we hate and prevents us from looking for better things for ourselves.

My plan was to retire end of 2024 and was putting up with layoffs, reorgs, in hopes to make it as planned. The severance stretched me to end of of 2024, but due Medicare eligible, the offered benefits under COBRA sc--wed me to get benefits for my wife until 2025 when she becomes Medicare eligible.
But, I feel bad for young parents who had a long way to go, and losing their jobs for mismanagement really bucks.

Honest question ? What value has KB brought ? What wealth of experience does a 30 year old have ? Every single one of the EMT would crumble if they had to deal with the cr-p the rank and file deal with on a daily basis.
First of all, nothing is happening next week. It will be business as usual. Second, KB has brought a ton of value and experience that Crown didn't have before. Promotion was well deserved.
Probably means and one not a senior VP is getting the axe.
