People at the L4 / L5 level have no idea about layoffs. Those conversations happens way above them. My manager is a 6 and wasn’t even in the loop on the last two until right before.

Rumours that the Berlin office will close. Wonder if this will all happen this summer.
No one should trust anything management is saying. I would trust a cup of Jim Jones strawberry kool aid more. The L4 isn’t going to admit a layoff anyway, they have it timed the way they do for a reason. Wayfair has to have enough skill III agents in place to make up for the tenured reps they will be cutting loose. I’m sure once the layoff happens the IBR they have imposed on the top agents will magically disappear. Between the Jamaican team and the hot mess they created in LPS. Wayfairs days will be numbered. Being pushed out may be a true blessing in disguise. The tension, stress, and misery this place has become would not be missed.
