Thread regarding Hy-Vee layoffs

Accounting managers

Hyvee just silently took away the jobs of the accounting managers. They put all the work load of invoices and gave their hours to scanning. Scanning has enough to do. How low of hyvee. These people have been dedicated and worked all holidays and weekends for years and just another sc--w over. The management has no answers either what to do with them and where to have them work.

Invoices changed and it's a mess. Having people scan them then code them then the managers have to approve. It takes twice as long. They don't for some reason want accounting to code which is weird and they never said why. But trying to filter through the daily we can't figure out inventory emails is so stressful. Because who is supposed to deal with anything. Accounting took care if the vendors statements past dues and now it seem like too many people are involved and just no one knows what direction we are supposed to go.

Accounting still does deposits. Having the managers enter the safe count at night is a nightmare. Imagine if they did the deposit lol

Product management......you don't understand. They gave us no access to anything. We have to use someone else's log in. That's so degrading to think a job we have done for so long is just suddenly taken away with no explanation. Why can't accounting have access to scan them . We all have scanners.

They still have accounting managers. They just split the workload. I should know I'm in the product management department

You can’t have over time either. Take away a task from people who knows how to handle invoicing and have people who are already doing a million other things…makes a lot of sense. NOT!

It true they don't know what to do with us, mine have not even had a conversation about it yet. Maybe they are hoping we all dissappear...Meanwhile another department struggles through a job I've done 10+ years and know front to back. Good luck with your June inventory, lol!

Typical Hyvee,trying to cut jobs and labor not caring about their employees just like a few years ago when they fired and layed off many long term employees.Hyvee is a terrible company,do not make a career with this terrible company.
