Thread regarding Lumen Technologies layoffs

- The crux of the matter - something worth pondering

" Just listened to Schaefer (Cogent) at the Cowen conference… He said “network-as-a-service” (NAAS) is a made up term that no one has been able to explain to him… Funny, every time Kate and Chris talk about it, I feel like that is what they are leaving out of their explanation but I’m just a d-mb investor..

Schaefer is an industry titan, if it can’t be explained so he can understand it, can it even be real?? he prefaced his comment with he’s been in this business a long time and seen all types of claims couched in fancy names and that is the case with NAS… He also said lumen fails because they refuse to accept they are d-mb pipes and cogent has been successful because they don’t complicate things by adding layers on top of what they know are d-mb pipes…. Hopefully the Cowen analyst brings these things up with Stansbury tomorrow!!! "

Remember when Charlie Munger said Level 3 was to hard to figure out.

Isn't Lumen NAAS their "NAAS for Edge"? Don't forget about their "Edge" and other made up stuff. Lumen runs on buzz words, cr-ppy layer services, and BS published on the PRNewswire. The stock price is a reflection of it too. A correction will come but it might take another two or three years which means they'll still be looking at the smoke trails left behind by Google, Verizon, Comcast, Charter, Microsoft, Amazon.
