Looks like HR has come through this thread to neg every comment. LOL, as if that would change the reality of PFAS and 3M.

3M markets itself as a beacon of honesty and ethical manufacturing, proudly proclaiming its dedication to sustainability and employee welfare. However, the reality behind 3M's operations is starkly different. Environmental audits reveal that 3M engages in significant pollution, flagrantly violating environmental regulations while greenwashing its public image. Internal reports indicate that the company does not invest in safety and silences employees who raise concerns. Despite its public declarations of integrity, 3M operates with a blatant disregard for the ethical standards it claims to champion.

Post layoff, in hindsight I saw 3M was not as ethical as they touted themselves to be. Lack of trust up the corporate ladder was not comforting either.

Shameful. Report 3M. Unlawful behavior and driving performance by eliminating employees.

What are people’s predictions for what this will ultimately mean for Mother Mining?

3M continues to face numerous allegations and legal actions for knowingly contaminating environments and people around the world with toxic forever chemicals, failing to disclose potential health risks, prioritizing profits over ethical responsibility, covering up and lying, and demonstrating systemic corruption and ethical failures. All doubt has been removed with The New Yorker and Pro Publica articles. So much more coming. Time for transparency. We all must reveal what we know. Do the right thing.

Many attorneys and many executives knew. At least 3 attorneys are named in the Minnesota lawsuit within this coorespondence. The cover up and gaslighting was not the work of 1 or 2 people. The 3M Forever Chemical secret was the best kept secret since the 1960s and 1970's. 3M was notified by the University of Florida in the 1970's that it was showing up in people from NY, Texas and many other states. 3M lied to the university researchers claiming 3M had no knowledge of that chemical in Scotchguard.

If you have an interest in all the names and evidence, there is a complete table here:

I agree with OP, 3Mer's need to provide anything we know to those outside of 3M. Time for transparency.

I quickly read the article and there is a reference to Legal. I am curious who in Legal knew what was going on or were they intentionally not consulted?

We all know 3M is not ethical today. I really thought the old 3M was ethical. I was so naive.

I am appalled at 3M leadership’s behavior. The most recent story in The New Yorker shows the dishonesty went all the way up to the CEO in the 1990’s. 3M will go down in history as the most unethical company in the world.

3M must be held accountable.

3M’s practices around PFAS over the past quarter century (post C8 phaseout) are just as appalling as pre-phase out.
