Thread regarding L3Harris Technologies layoffs

What happened to the old Mustang in Plano? For a time it was pitched as the future of the company.

For the longest time, the sector leadership who owned Mustang ran around the company talking about how they had the keys to the future. Contracts and company investment seemed to both be flowing in for a time, and like it or not other parts of the company fell in line. At one point just a few years back Mustang BD was touting they had something "in the bag" that was much bigger than what had been being worked all those previous years. Word out there now today is people have exited left and right and they've had multiple layoffs over there. What the heck is going on?

Agile Development Group, nope, not mentioned at all nowadays and neither is the Mayhem Program they bragged about.

I think that they tried to do too much, too soon. There were a ton of talented people there and I believe that the legacy Mustang team did accomplish a lot of great things before they were acquired. Post acquisition, they were always chasing the shiny objects (Become a prime) and never really seemed to finish anything else that they started. They could never get across the hurdles required to take ideas from neat concepts to something that could actually be competitively manufactured.

Add on top of that, an absolutely clueless corporate leadership, and you end up with something called the Agile Development Group. You do not see that mentioned anywhere nowadays, do you? The sad part about all of it is that they su-ked money out of the divisions that were actually doing great in order to fund it. Now those divisions have to live with years of underinvestment.

They can only fire so many people at the lower levels before accountability catches up to those at the top that have made bad decision after bad decision and continue to be rewarded for it.
