I'm so done with this place I desperately need a way out. But it seems like nobody is hiring.

Kearny.
I am in my 50s and long timer with 3M. Job is not that stressful, pay is good despite they going to remove the LTI. I will just hang on till retirement or severance package. Wfh helps too as I can run the daily errands and avoiding the rush hours doing grocery. 3M is great company to stick to, if you don't care about career progression
A lot of people are hiring. Look up people you know on LinkedIn. Lots of encouragement with the 3mersunite hashtag, too.
I'm not concerned about changing jobs, but I don't want to take a pay cut, and it's definitely looking like that's in the cards if I leave 3M right now.
Not a great time to be a knowledge worker.
Get your resume to a recruiter who works with your area/industry. Likely the best way to find something. Make connections on LinkedIn.
After I was laid off I had about 6 recruiters looking for me. I landed securely and love the new job. Don't be afraid of a different title or the company name. So many great places out there to work that you can be proud of!
