Thread regarding Nielsen layoffs

Saying The Word No At Nielsen

The useless TL's, managers, MAWW and those above are still trying to hold on to their nepotism cliques and power trips, but are helpless when you simply say the word NO.

No to the training of offshore replacements.
No to requests for added responsibilities.
No to requests for details on processes that you may only know.
No to requests for team meetings.
No to attempts of belittling you in front of others.
No to being added to useless company programs and town halls.
No to requests for duties above your BAU work unless in writing from HR.

Don't play their intimidation games by saying NO to the above and see what happens, which will be nothing other than them going away to find someone else to harass and gang up on. You're welcome.

Who are the MAWW?

Middle-Aged White Women.

I first came across this term and acronym in this thread in here: https://www.thelayoff.com/t/1silDKrW

"Main difference is say yes and do nothing"

This is what our supervisor did. They agreed to training our replacements to upper management, then turned around and told all of us on the team not to. We all basically pretended to train them, ghosted or ignored them or even fed our replacements straight up bad, wrong, misleading, useless information.

We were all given our last day anyway so it's not like anybody cared enough to fight for their job.

THIS. No-one wants to hear how their ad dollars should be spent from an aging MAWW with a tude and bags under her eyes. That’s reserved for TL positions, with the more marketable and “pleasing to the eyes” younger people reserved for the marketing positions.

Plus it keeps KR more interested and engaged.

MAWW at Nielsen trying to hold onto their marketing jobs and tiny ounce of power as they know the only thing past marketing is becoming a realtor, and both fields su-k.

With the long line of self proclaimed "marketing experts" full of younger female talent and ho-------l men they're realizing their fate is almost here.

I let about 30 percent of my work go overdue last week and didn’t sweat it one bit. Said there was no way to keep up with it all and wasn’t interested in doing so or explaining why.

Said they may want to consider engaging their offshore team if it’s such a priority, and there’s not been a word said about it since.

I feel there’s a corporate person here trying to dismiss the OP, or one of those mentioned in the initial post. Seems like a typical Nielsen corporate minion.

“I'm from the future, these people got fired for not doing their job / what their manager assigned“

8 months here of saying no and still here, with HR telling me “thank you for being so professional” just a few weeks ago.

Apparently KR your crystal ball needs some polishing. I’m sure CP or SSW can help you with that.
