Why is there a manager?
Too late for that. They been heading off shore for about 23 years. Now they are so far from the shore they cannot find their way back. Nobody has been charting the course so now they are lost adrift in a sea of inconsistency and technical debt.
No moany leaders just to wacth small product. now wonder more customer leaving and migrate to Amadeus. just left AA and Alaska. Soon AA also will leaving
No wonder sh-t does not get done. Then add the Indian culture where you cannot question or tell your boss no. Sabre is going down hard.
Among all the bleak news, there is one good: Polish HR lady was promoted to a Sr Director. Now, at least it is clear why these levels are for :) Well deserved and great sucess esp. on the DEI front!

They actually created more levels 2 years ago - Senior Manager and then Principle 1 &2 and so on. Id--ts.
Part of Sabre’s problem, too many leaders not enough actual workers who are close to the customers..
how else are they going to justify their compensation if there isn't all that hierarchy reporting to them?
