Thread regarding Sabre Holdings layoffs

Layers of bureaucracy

1 - I am a Manager who reports to a Director
2 - Director reports to a VP
3 - VP reports to another VP
4 - VP reports to SVP
5 - SVP reports to EVP
6 - EVP reports to CEO KE

Why do you need a Director, 2 layers of VP and SVP?

Too late for that. They been heading off shore for about 23 years. Now they are so far from the shore they cannot find their way back. Nobody has been charting the course so now they are lost adrift in a sea of inconsistency and technical debt.

No wonder sh-t does not get done. Then add the Indian culture where you cannot question or tell your boss no. Sabre is going down hard.

Among all the bleak news, there is one good: Polish HR lady was promoted to a Sr Director. Now, at least it is clear why these levels are for :) Well deserved and great sucess esp. on the DEI front!

how else are they going to justify their compensation if there isn't all that hierarchy reporting to them?
