Anyone heard anything about MIP payout? Doesn’t sound like anyone is starting at 100%, you have to “earn” it. Keep your head up, next year has to be better right???

I think people will have some pleasant year end surprises for MIP, just my .02
Guys....we have to think about the shareholders!
At some point over the last 5 year, the narrative around MIP quietly shifted from a profit sharing program to a pay for performance program. No one really noticed because the "adjustment" based on performance was outlined but was never really used in performance management at the end of the year. The FY24 review cycle now has a new performance rating system that enforces a MIP adjustment based on rating. Surprise! You just got a pay cut.
Is that even allowed? MIP is supposed to be a defined formula not discretionary based on how much a-s you kissed. I forget what the MIP fine print is but isn't it dependant on business and company performance vs. individual performance, which more affects salary and raise?
Personal modifier this year. Even if the company financials work out, management can choose to lower your MIP if they want to give someone else a bigger boost. its being treated like the merit pool - zero sum gain across departments. good luck, stay on your VP's good side.
Never have counted on MIP as a guaranteed thing! That way if we do get it - bonus and happiness.
Next year might not be better the way things are going. :-(
I am sure there will be a small handful of people that get 100%, but it won't be widespread. Bet we miss Q4.
Never think you are guaranteed to get a MIP every year.
MIP is a scam and a facade
