The EU and U.S. regulators had to school the Broadcom CEO after VMware's large enterprise and government customers threatened legal action. Then, he made it sound like this was his idea to revisit the pricing crisis he alone created. Id--tic 'bravado' fool.

His short-sighted perspective is destroying the value creation capabilities of the assets acquired.

If they don’t want to stay as customers that is fine. We only rápe those who are willing.
VMware customers have now been given time to move to a competitor. Many of the customers I talk to are eager to leave ASAP. They are reviewing options and are committed to taking their business elsewhere. Our VPs can't convince them to stay.
"HT has been doing right by them with delivering among the best stock returns in the world in recent years."
So far, the HT playbook has alienated VMware employees, customers and partners. I fail to see how that will deliver AVGO shareholder benefits over the long term. Our business model is different than CA and Symantec, that should have been obvious. His short-sighted perspective is destroying the value creation capabilities of the assets acquired.
"And Europe would be better served by encouraging innovation in the software space instead of regulating everything to death."
Exactly. How many innovation coming from Europe vs Asia vs America? Europe has sold their car companies to China, and buying their solar tech products. AI, robotics are next.
Little rocket mans in over his head
Time for this old sh-t to retire.. in fact he is past his mandatory get lost date by 7 years
Interesting. People on this board still haven't quite grasped that CEO's serve the shareholders. HT has been doing right by them with delivering among the best stock returns in the world in recent years.
Customers of course need to decide whether to stick a vendor or consider alternatives. There is plenty of competition in this business. HT will try to thread the needle in a way that makes VCF marginally cheaper to own and operate than public clouds. Customers for whom the math doesn't work need to go buy stuff from others. HT doesn't want them anyway.
And Europe would be better served by encouraging innovation in the software space instead of regulating everything to death.
This simply means more job cuts since Hock can't make the money he wants through sales. :)
small drops make an ocean..
He alone destroyed VMware’s reputation and market. Damage is done.. there is no way back. Customers and partners hate Broadcom to the core. Those thinking otherwise are probably living in a secluded world. Just try selling their garbage to customers and get the hate mails. Innovation my a-s. Time for this old sh-t to retire.. in fact he is past his mandatory get lost date by 7 years.
HT's most blatant lie. Customers and Partners demanded time to switch providers.
"We heard that fast-moving change may require more time, so we have given support extensions to many customers who came up for renewal while these changes were rolling out. We have always been and remain ready to work with our customers on their specific concerns."
Network World and several other tech publications reported on his foolish mistakes.

Just because CA and Symantec customers accepted high-cost bundles doesn't transfer to VMware's customers. Sometimes an arrogant CEO is forced to eat his words, and then lie.
