Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Very quiet and depressing around Ford Credit.

Layoffs must be happening soon.

I wouldn't say quiet. It's actually quite chaotic and devoid of any type of long term direction. Depressing I will agree.

Something is up. They stopped trying to wear us down and make us quit. Obviously they are just waiting for word go and then here come the layoffs. It is way too quiet around here.

Ford earnings release on Wednesday, April 24th will provide better insight how Ford and Ford Credit are performing and extent of any potential layoffs and/or more shifts to low-cost sourcing. Lots of negative trends (i.e. higher interest rates for longer, sticky inflation, stronger organized labor) and macro factors to be concerned about in what many consider a strong economy for almost every sector; which is not good for any OEM when the economy starts to retract...and it will. Buckle up!

This quarter for sure... Overdue for a big one.... Have you seen a ford dealer lately. Piles of SUVs and trucks... Inflation taking toll...
