Thread regarding Pioneer Natural Resources Co. layoffs

Retention bonus incoming!!!!

No one getting retention anything. All you get is the work from your departed coworkers. It's beyond frustrating to think about the extra load of work that's about to fall on my desk because my coworkers decided to quit. Here I am, already juggling a million tasks, and now I'm expected to pick up the slack too? This isn't just about covering a few extra emails—it's about entire projects, deadlines, and responsibilities that they've left behind. No one seems to consider how this affects my workload and stress levels.

Stop complaining. Bottom feeders like you are the reason company get sold. Come to work do nothing and collect paycheck. Those days are over. If you have to backfill for your coworkers you will do it and better do it with a smile on your face. If you were that good of an employee you thought you were would have found another job already. So su-k it up.

This is how Pioneer always been. No promotion in sight? Quit and join another team and leave your work for others to pick up. Realizing grass is not greener then just slack off for the rest of the pxd days

Most seem to be doing less than ever. Some employees are outright scamming the company right now, taking unapproved vacations or racking up airline points for "business travel."

Posted here in Dec and told ya’ll the second request is a chance to create other options. If you are not interested in Houston, just don’t want to go to XOM and not a day one term, be prepared either to be a transition drone for up to two years or wrestle with XOM about severance (and they absolutely will fight you on it).

They will map you in their system and offer will be take it or leave it. Going to say this one more time since a lot of employees lurk here. It’s about to get messy. Unless you are near retirement and don’t care (or getting millions) take advantage of this bull market for oil and create multiple opportunities for yourselves before these deals start closing and people flood the market. Good luck all, it’s been a good run.

That is correct. Cap spend will freeze. Discretionary anything will freeze. T&E will freeze. If it isn’t directly responsible for oil exiting the ground it’s frozen.

Or you might find that your projects are canceled or indefinitely delayed while XOM tries to process the acquisition. Don't ask how I know.
