Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Conscious Culture training

Two gender discrimination cases were filed with HR against an employee and the manager, who were protected by the senior leadership team. Tell me again why we have to take this BS training. Cisco HR isn't there to protect the employees. Don't waste our time if you are not serious about the employee's wellbeing; no wonder you can’t innovate.

I spent a decade in IT at Cisco and never saw anything remotely as described above. I'm in sales now and my entire leadership chain is women and let me tell you, they know how to berate, gaslight, and manipulate like the best of them.

@1lnz+1s0ck09L Probably an inconvenient truth, but think about the composition of Cisco. Specifically, the Indian culture within it. It’s normal to disparage women - especially those in a different caste or non-Indian. If you’re intellectually honest in your assessment of these incidents, then I think you’ll see that.

Don't be a middle age + white guy.

Old white guy here. Try being good at your job, which in part is defined as contributing at a level that justifies your ever increasing pay. No matter one's ethnicity or other characteristic, have someone good at a real company help you find perspective on whether you're really growing your skills to be competitive in the larger market, and if you aren't, you need to make changes before someone makes them for you.

We lost a woman and a non-white person on our team in the last LR. I hate to break it to you, but there are a lot of whites, mostly men, in sales.

"Cisco is by far the most toxic to women" Absolutely garbage. Female and non white - you have the entitled cards at csco. Don't be a middle age + white guy. csco is pretty forthright in trying to brainwash you into thinking you are the problem. Look where the last few check boxes got CX. Hire better people that are skilled, not terrible people with a few skills. csco used to do that when they ran a business. How they turned into a liberal mouthpiece and funding source.

Thank you for this post. I never felt that way until the last couple of years, but agree 100% with your comments. I would say for some of them it’s a sport. No surprise to me that there are so many negative posts on this site about leadership and culture.

Worked at many other tech companies in the last 20 years… Cisco is by far the most toxic to women, I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen some sh-t. SVPs, VPs, SD, Directors…actively patronizing, yelling, intimidating and gaslighting women in front of others and making it ok for their other team members to do the same. Probably deep seated insecurity on their part, superiority complex, and looking for “safe” people to exploit to make themselves feel like big important men. Gross. Grow up. Countless examples from women at multiple levels in the org from their interactions with “leaders” in IT. Conscious culture my a-s.

The entire globalist agenda is being implemented by our wholly corrupt govt...

We can't get Americans to pay more than a single penny for jeans made in America, do you really think they'll chose a 12" B&W American TV over an 85" 4K deep color TV from Asia for the same money? In this way the government does represent the will of its people.

Cisco HR isn't there to protect the employees.

By definition HR at all companies is there exclusively to protect their company. If you're going through some stuff where the cost to help you is sufficiently less than the cost to replace you and is therefore a benefit to the company, then and only then will HR help you up to the implied limit.

Someone should post the details of this "training" to the press and/or X.

Men can feel like women now, and you have to acknowledge it so I feel like They just fired me for using the benefits the way they describe them, for made up performance issues. Direct retaliation for me taking leaves, and also being “paid too much”. I’m also a straight white Christian unvaccinated male so, they really feel good about finally getting rid of me lol. I have been under attack since Covid times and they finally were able to create such a toxic bullsh-t environment full of excess fake scrutiny, that when I filed an ER care to investigate retaliation they just decided to fire me because “a pip will not improve anything” lol

This should give you an idea of the amount ($10 trillion) of power Blackrock wields.

It's demanded by Blackrock as a condition of investing in the company. The entire globalist agenda is being implemented by our wholly corrupt govt (no matter who's in the WH - they are on all on the same team) and the mega corporations used to circumvent laws that stand in their way. Overall, it's controlled demolition (big picture).

You can find Larry Fink's annual letters online. The annual letter is highly influential because it details what they require of the companies they'll invest in. I've reviewed them going back to 2015 and the DEI (die) agenda is pushed in every letter. You can find the letters on Blackrock's website.

And to my point about both Republicans and Democrats being owned by the globalists, Trump had Larry Fink as an economic advisor during his entire presidency.

Feb 2017 - "Larry Fink, CEO of BlackRock (BLK), met with Trump last week as part of the President’s Strategic and Policy Forum, along with other members, including Tesla (TSLA) CEO Elon Musk and J.P. Morgan (JPM) CEO Jamie Dimon."

April 2020 - "As President Donald Trump grappled with the coronavirus outbreak last month, he boasted at a press conference of tapping a secret we-pon for advice: Larry Fink."

Most, if not all, jobs are tough to work; and people nowadays will often defer rather than simply knuckling down and completing the responsibilities required for the role.

The choice is then to either adapt and complete the work, or move on to another role.

The country cannot take much more of people wanting to blame others for every bump in the road in our individual lives. The sooner one realizes that the system is inherently unfair, and then to learn to be individually strong and independent; and to simply move on to other opportunities instead of trying to make something work that simply does not; the better.
