Night crew is hemorrhaging people. Almost every week someone simply walks off line and quits without even finishing shift. The place is a deep mess.
When this company layed off 800 during good financial times they signed their own death warrant. The employees let go did not forget and the public knows.
There is no "career" at GF let's be honest about it. When your attrition rate is 20% or more then on average very few are staying 5 years or more. Don't ever use the term "career" and GlobalFoundries in the same sentence!
My good friend is being pushed out in Malta. His cardinal sin is simply making too much. That's the criterion they use for layoffs.
Expertise doesn't matter. Efficiency doesn't matter. All they care about is driving costs down to unrealistic targets. They can't cost compete with Asia and they knew it all along. What were they thinking?
Makes me sick coming in the gates each morning to seeing these signs.
