3M is run by a bunch of retirees. So sad. Tireman is one. Brownie is another.
MR is kept around to face key litigations..
When M&M laidoff 6k employees, stock dropped 2 percent. When they announced a new CEO, stock up 10 percent. Do not know why
The best advice I would give the new CEO is, dump Monish and Zoe, Mark M and bring in your own people you trust. The next is to rip up Mike Roman's playbook and burn the one play on paper. If your instincts are to do what Mike suggest, do the opposite because that person had no strategy or ideas that worked in 6 years.
