It's been long enough since the last layoff to know how much it impacted your workload. Our team only lost one person so it hasn't been too bad, but I know teams that have been halved that are now really struggling to keep up with work. What's the situation like throughout the company?

STS has become a clown show. Most teams overworked and stressed out. Most teams now understaffed. The culture is so toxic that nobody wants to go beyond to help this firm squeeze out more energy from it's employees. More silos than ever. Horrible communication. No trust. No engagement
How many teams In Technology at Schwab are being asked to help others and add to their already stressed workload?
The loan bright spot ob RTO is that nobody is working free overtime any more. No more checking systems at night and weekends. Walt and his Executive council can all shove it if they thing we are going to go above and beyond to help this toxic firm
We've entered 5th month after Oct. layoff and reorg. It was brutal the first two and half months. Workload increased by at least 33%+. I can see the tiredness in the eyes of some my team members during team video conferencing. I'm starting to look for other options outside since there is no longer work/life balance and the recent discovery that I am greatly underpaid within my peers in the company.
I underwork and I am underpaid. It goes both ways. Folks should work less and invest more in their families and themselves for a worry free exit.
Overworked ,underpaid and lied to by my manager. I feel sorry for our clients, employee morale is at lowest I personally have ever seen it, this includes layoffs during tech bubble/ 9/11 and 2008 recession. Rto is one thing, but the lies and smug Walt and ec and their trickle down poor mgmt style and ineffective communication now giving leftover directors and mgrs approval to do same. Lay us off ,but stop the morale bleeding. Don’t give us cr-ppy schwab paraphernalia for employee appreciation day. This is how the leaders lead, completely brain dead. We don’t want reminders of how badly we are being treated. Loved the 1000$ in useless options. Smh
Overworked, underpaid.
