That pat on the back sure must have felt good, even while your 401K match was taken away and given to investors via stock buybacks. That was your choice and good for you! And now you must be working your new position since you claimed you could land a new job quickly no problem. How’s that working out for you?

Not good. When I started my new job I quickly realized I'm 50% slower than my new colleagues, they don't smoke, and and they've never heard of The Layoff. I've also caught the vibe my new team isn't feeling my four hour lunches.
I'm good, haven't even left yet and I have a new job.
