Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Laid off in Oct. Just landed a Sr. SWE role at a FAANG and with RSU’s just 3x what Schwab was paying and I only have to go in once a month or once a quarter for team building. I have little kids and a sick parent and this means I can get home based help and also be there in case of emergency while wfh. I was denied an exception at Schwab too. Good riddance. I hope others land on their feet like this too. FYI- it helps to have a good network and not just get referrals, but involves some luck- if you know someone on a team that’s hiring, then it really helps.
