Good riddance with Shafer! His replacement is a diversity play to keep the diversity metrics looking good

Good riddance! Shafer was a disaster! Guy was always confused … but still projected an entitled sense of leadership

Shafer was a disaster! The only reason he rose up the ranks was because of Julie bushman - she over promoted him!

He messed up in China - all the compliance issues happened during his watch! And … he was demoted from the COC back to being a regular SVP

His replacement at AASD got the role
Because they need a URG at the Div President level … jury is out on him

Interesting that the new CEO and the departing AASD division president both worked at McKinsey. Bad timing or bad blood?

Looks like they move the ADMD president over to AASd. Hearing is that PFAS exit is accelerated by a year to end 2024 instead of original 2025. Be prepared for more top line missed!!

He was a solid 'meh' as a leader, seen better, seen worse.

My speculation is that as soon as he was told he wasn't getting the TEBG group president job his resume was sent out.

In the few interactions/meetings/projects I intersected with him, I had a favorable impression. Seemed smart and open to others’ inputs. I actually thought he might be a good ceo contender.

I worked in a Shafer-led organization twice. I honestly couldn’t tell if he was a good guy or not.

They are leaving for a reason. This is a sinking ship.

Looks like TEBG is down by 1 group president and 1 division president

Similarly SIBG is down by 1 division president

All leaving under an NDA. Probably knowing what is happening, but legally bound to say nothing.
